Outdoor Locations
Want outdoor portraits, but you do not have a specific location in mind? I can suggest several very beautiful spots around the Alpharetta/Milton/Roswell area that will work for most session needs. Always open to suggestions, so if there is a place you have in mind, not listed below, let's discuss!
For all outdoor portraits, these must be taken 1-2 hours after sunrise, or in the evenings ~2 hours before sunset. We can also target the last hour before sunset if a location is not too vast to grab the shots you desire. The sun moves fast so want to make sure we can get the desired poses in the time allotted.
Alpharetta City Hall Courtyard / Brooke Street Park
A lovely courtyard nestled between City Hall and the Alpharetta Library is loaded with beauty. With fountains, benches, and brick galore, it is the absolute perfect spot for your next outdoor photo session. Brooke Street park has a small waterfall with nearby trails and tree understory, making for a gorgeous backdrop.
Barrington Hall
535 Barrington Drive, Roswell, GA 30075
Barrington Hall is located in downtown Historic Roswell. A beautiful historic house and formal gardens offer a gorgeous backdrop for your outdoor photo session. An additional fee and 2 week notice is required to reserve a photo session at this location.
Crabapple Market / Village Green
12650 Crabapple Rd, Milton, GA 30004
Beautiful open green in the heart of Milton, with the Crabapple Market in the backdrop. An additional fee and 2 week notice is required to reserve a photo session at this location.
Garrard Landing Park
This park is located next to the Johns Creek Environmental Campus, tucked away with a beautiful landscape full of versatile photo ops for your outdoor session. A beautiful wooden bridge, small creek, a fountain, lovely rocks/boulders, and plenty of trees, and a lovely grass field. A little farther of a drive, but a beautiful canvas for sure!
Leita Thompson Memorial Park
This park has a beautiful quaint garden with a pavilion and fountain. An additional fee and 2 week notice is required to reserve a photo session at this location.
Mayfield Park
This park has a beautiful lake, a pavilion, bench, and trees. A true hidden gem for your next outdoor photo session.
Mill Creek Park
Neighborhood park off Northpoint Pkwy behind Steinway Piano.

This park has a beautiful lake with a stone bridge, as well as a grass field, stone stairs, and beautiful trees.
Rock Mill Park
3100 Kimball Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30022
This park is located on the Big Creek Greenway, with a small stone amphitheater great for seating, 2 stone pavilions and a small pond and trails along the woods.
Vickery Creek / Old Mill Park
This park has a popular covered bridge and beautiful old brick buildings and walls that make gorgeous backdrops, as well as the creek and a waterfall. This location has very steep walking paths and can be very uneven and challenging to navigate. Ensure this is suitable for your outdoor portrait session. An additional fee and 2 week notice is required to reserve a photo session at this location.
Note: The bridge is a popular destination for photos and is a heavy traffic area for hikers. This can result in a lengthy wait to get your photo so please keep this in mind when booking this location. Also parking can be very challenging so build in an extra 15-20min to accommodate.
